PlatformDashboards and metrics
The views your team needs, built in minutes.
Build dashboards from host metrics, logs and traces, send your own application metrics with OpenTelemetry, and keep everything in Git as code.
Dashboards and metrics in one place
Dashboards turn raw metrics, logs and traces into the views a team checks every day: the health of a service, the load on a fleet, the numbers the business cares about. Custom metrics let your applications report their own measurements, such as orders placed or jobs queued.
Televane dashboards use eight panel types, accept custom metrics over OpenTelemetry and can be kept as code in Git alongside the rest of your configuration.
Dashboards
Eight panel types on a 12-column grid.
- Time series, stat, gauge, bar, table, logs, traces and text panels
- Variables, thresholds and automatic refresh
- Version history with restore, JSON import and export
- Folders with permissions by role, team or person

Custom metrics
Your business and application numbers, over OpenTelemetry.
- Gauges, counters, histograms and summaries with up to 30 labels
- Filters, group-by and aggregations — average, sum, min, max, count and rate
- Alert rules on custom metrics
- Cardinality controls and normalisation rules for label values
Monitoring as code
Review and version your configuration like software.
- Dashboards, alert rules, SLOs, checks and pipeline rules as declarative resources
- obsctl apply, diff and dry-run
- Git sync with GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket — including saving changes back to Git
Get started in three steps
- Create a free account — Sign up at portal.televane.com. The Free plan needs no card, and new organizations can try Pro free for 14 days.
- Point OpenTelemetry at Televane — Create an ingest token and set the OTLP endpoint and header in your OpenTelemetry SDK or Collector. No code changes beyond standard instrumentation.
- Explore and alert — Services, traces and metrics appear as data arrives. Add alert rules or SLOs on the numbers users feel.

Dashboards and metrics: common questions
Can I send my own application metrics?
Yes. Send gauges, counters, histograms and summaries over OpenTelemetry, and chart and alert on them.
Can dashboards be managed as code?
Yes. Dashboards, alert rules and SLOs are declarative resources you can apply with obsctl and keep in GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket.
