SolutionsOpenTelemetry backend
An OpenTelemetry backend that connects every signal.
Point your OpenTelemetry SDKs or Collector at Televane and get service health, distributed traces, a live service map, logs linked to their traces and your custom metrics, with no proprietary agent in your code.
What is an OpenTelemetry backend?
OpenTelemetry is the open standard for producing traces, metrics and logs from applications. It defines how to collect telemetry and how to send it (the OTLP protocol), but not where it is stored or how you explore it: that is the job of a backend.
Televane is that backend. It receives OTLP directly from your SDKs or through the OpenTelemetry Collector, stores the signals together and links them, so you can move from a slow endpoint to its trace, its logs and the host it ran on.
OTLP in, everything connected
Traces, metrics and logs over OTLP via HTTP or gRPC.
- Service health: throughput, error rate and p95 latency for every service
- Trace view with every span, and the logs of the same request
- A service map built from your traces, with databases, queues and external APIs
- Custom metrics with filters, group-by and alerts

Open standards, no lock-in
Your instrumentation stays yours.
- Standard OpenTelemetry SDKs and the OpenTelemetry Collector, any language with an SDK
- Ingest tokens scoped to sending data only, revocable at any time
- Passwords, tokens and SQL literals masked before storage
- Moving away later means changing an endpoint, not re-instrumenting
Get started in three steps
- Create a free account — Sign up at portal.televane.com. The Free plan needs no card, and new organizations can try Pro free for 14 days.
- Point OpenTelemetry at Televane — Create an ingest token and set the OTLP endpoint and header in your OpenTelemetry SDK or Collector. No code changes beyond standard instrumentation.
- Explore and alert — Services, traces and metrics appear as data arrives. Add alert rules or SLOs on the numbers users feel.

OpenTelemetry backend: common questions
Which protocols does Televane accept?
OTLP over HTTP (protobuf or JSON) and OTLP over gRPC, for traces, metrics and logs.
Do I need the OpenTelemetry Collector?
No. SDKs can send straight to Televane. The Collector is useful to batch, sample or enrich data from many services.
Which languages work?
Any language with an OpenTelemetry SDK, such as Java, .NET, Node.js, Python, Go and PHP.
How is it priced?
By the data you send each month, with no fee per host or service. There is a free plan to start.
